July 7 – Four people have died, three from suffocation during World Cup celebrations in Mexico City.  

A 19-year-old woman, a 44-year-old man, and a 48-year-old woman lost their lives after huge crowds poured onto the streets of the capital, celebrating Mexico’s Round of 32 win over Ecuador on Tuesday.  

Medical responders performed CPR on all three, the authority said, but each died from asphyxiation. All have since been identified by their families. The victims were found unconscious near the Angel of Independence monument on the Paseo de la Reforma,
