Leeds United‘s Sebastiaan Bornauw is on the verge of leaving the Premier League side for Hamburg SV this summer.
The Whites signed the centre-back from VfL Wolfsburg in July 2025 and he didn’t enjoy regular minutes.
Bornauw played 433 minutes from 12 Premier League matches and played five matches for Leeds United in the cup competitions.

Leeds United to finalise exit soon
Sky Deutschland on Saturday reported Daniel Farke’s side are in advanced negotiations with Hamburg SV for Sebastiaan Bornauw’s transfer.
The two clubs are sorting out the final details of the operation. He will arrive on loan with an option to buy.
Leeds United seem to have found an agreement with the Bundesliga side as per the latest reports from Germany. The 27-year-old would have also given his approval for the loan move.
Leeds United man’s medical on Monday
That’s because Kicker today are reporting the defender is on his way to Hamburg SV.
Sebastiaan Bornauw will arrive in Germany on Sunday and will undergo medical tests with Hamburg at Athleticum, which is close to Volksparkstadion, on Monday.
If he clears these tests, the Leeds United man will join a season-long loan with a purchase option.
Bild backs up Kicker’s claim and states Bornauw will land Fuhlsbüttel later today and will undergo Hamburg SV medical tomorrow.
The Bundesliga side and the Whites would have an agreement in place for a loan with a buying option. The two reports haven’t specified the purchase clause price.
Last season, Luka Vušković was on loan at Hamburg from Tottenham Hotspur. They sold him to Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, and the Leeds United defender will take the Croatian’s place in the German club’s squad.
